Your life will be less stressful if you keep up with house repairs. Let's say you have three repairs. If you would have taken care of them individually, you would not have as much stress on your plate.
Invite your friends to enjoy a jog around town. A run is good for your body and sweats out the toxins. It also improves cardiovascular health and clear the mind. Running and jogging are great stress reduction tools.

Sniff your way stress-free. Smelling soothing things, such as peppermint, rose, thyme, lavender, bay leaves, and eucalyptus, will relax you. All you have to do is put some rock salt and few oil drops into a vial. Use this pleasant aroma to calm yourself down in times of stress.
Let the people you are in frequent contact with know that you are stressed, and reiterate that if you seem irritable, it is not their fault. Your friends and family, especially your spouse and children, can otherwise get the feeling that they've done something bad. Your stress is your problem, so you shouldn't make those around you feel as if it is their fault, because they are the ones that love you the most.
If you are doing unhealthy things to deal with your stress, find other ways to do it. If overeating is one way you deal with stress, try exercising instead. Replacing unhealthy coping techniques with healthier ones, will help your body stay strong, so it is better capable of dealing with the stress of day to day life.
Many young adults play video games as an effective way to relieve themselves of stress. Your mind is busy concentrating on strategy while you play, clearing your mind and leaving less room for stress. Playing a game by yourself is good for your stress levels, but you can get an even better effect, and improve your mood, by getting into some multi-player action with your friends.
If you need to get away from the stress in your life, find a quiet place and indulge in a daydream. Use these moments to imagine yourself in another place and time. This escapism exercise is a great way to get through stressful situations.
Getting stress to the point where it doesn't affect you that much, takes a lot of preparation and a lot of soul-searching. It's possible, if you keep in mind that you control your thoughts and that stress is only a visitor. Don't let stress stay and you'll be a happier person very soon.
